Tapas as the Root of Attainment (तपः—साधनमूलप्रशंसा)
हिमवन्तं समासाद्य महानासीद् वनस्पति: । वर्षपूगाभिसंवृद्ध: शाखी स्कन्धी पलाशवान्
himavantaṃ samāsādya mahān āsīd vanaspatiḥ | varṣa-pūgābhisaṃvṛddhaḥ śākhī skandhī palāśavān |
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «ဟိမဝန္တကို ရောက်သော် ထိုနေရာတွင် အလွန်ကြီးမားသော သစ်ပင်တစ်ပင် ရှိနေ하였다။ နှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာ စုဆောင်းလာသော မိုးရာသီတို့ကြောင့် အာဟာရပြည့်ဝ၍ ကြံ့ခိုင်လာကာ၊ တံတောင်ခိုင်သော ကိုယ်ထည်၊ ပြန့်ကားသော ကိုင်းခက်များနှင့် ရွက်ပင်များစွာကို ဆောင်ထား၏။»
