Daṇḍa as the Foundation of Social Order (दण्डप्रतिष्ठा)
यत्र श्यामो लोहिताक्षो दण्डश्चरति सूद्यत: । प्रजास्तत्र न मुहान्ते नेता चेत् साधु पश्यति
yatra śyāmo lohitākṣo daṇḍaś carati sūdyataḥ | prajāstatra na muhyante netā cet sādhu paśyati ||
အပြစ်ဒဏ်၏ တံတား—အမှောင်ရောင်၍ မျက်စိနီသော—သည် အမြဲတမ်း ထိုးနှက်ရန် အသင့်ဖြစ်ကာ လှည့်လည်နေပြီး၊ အုပ်ချုပ်သူကလည်း ပြစ်မှုများကို သတိကြီးစွာနှင့် ခွဲခြားသိမြင်စွာ စောင့်ကြည့်နေသည့် နေရာ၌ ပြည်သူတို့သည် ရှုပ်ထွေးမှု သို့မဟုတ် ပျင်းရိလျော့ရဲမှုသို့ မကျရောက်ကြ; တရားမျှတသော စောင့်ကြည့်မှုနှင့် စည်းကမ်း၏ ယုံကြည်ဖွယ်ရှိသော ရှိနေမှုကြောင့် စနစ်တကျ တည်တံ့သည်။
