आपद्धर्मे राज्ञः नीतिः — Bharadvāja’s Counsel on Crisis-Statecraft (Śānti Parva 138)
अनागतमनर्थ हि सुनयैर्य: प्रबाधयेत् । स न संशयमाप्रोति रोचतां भो व्रजामहे
anāgatam anarthaṁ hi sunayair yaḥ prabādhayet | sa na saṁśayam āpnoti rocatāṁ bho vrajāmahe ||
«အမှန်တကယ်ပင်၊ ကောင်းမွန်သော မူဝါဒနှင့် သင့်လျော်သော အကြံဉာဏ်ဖြင့် မလာသေးသော ဘေးအန္တရာယ်ကို မလာမီကတည်းက တားဆီးဖယ်ရှားနိုင်သူသည် အသက်ဆုံးရှုံးမည်ကို သံသယဝင်စရာ မရှိတော့။ ငါ့စကားကို သင့်တော်သည်ဟု ထင်လျှင် လာကြ—အခြားရေကန်တစ်ခုသို့ သွားကြစို့။»
