Vetasa-Nīti: The Reed and the Flood (वेतस-नीति)
वेतसो वेगमायातं दृष्टवा नमति नापरे | सरिद्वेगेडव्यतिक्रान्ते स्थानमासाद्य तिष्ठति
vetaso vegam āyātaṃ dṛṣṭvā namati nāpare | sarid-vege ’py atikrānte sthānam āsādya tiṣṭhati ||
သာဂရက ပြောသည်—“မြစ်ရေ၏ အရှိန်တက်လာသည်ကို မြင်လျှင် ဝေတသသည် ငုံ့လျှော့၏၊ အခြားသစ်ပင်တို့မူ မလျှော့ကြ။ ထို့ကြောင့် ရေစီးအား လွန်သွားသောအခါ မိမိနေရာကို ပြန်ရောက်ကာ ထပ်မံ တည်ငြိမ်စွာ ရပ်တည်နိုင်၏” ဟု။
