Vyāghra–Gomāyu Saṃvāda (व्याघ्रगोमायु संवाद) — Testing Character Beneath Appearances
स्थापितो<यं त्वया पुत्र सामन्तेष्वपि विश्रुत: । दुःखेनासाद्यते पात्र धार्यतामेष ते सुहत्
sthāpito ’yaṁ tvayā putra sāmanteṣv api viśrutaḥ | duḥkhena āsādyate pātraṁ dhāryatām eṣa te suhṛt ||
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်တော်မူသည်– «သားရေ၊ ဒီသူကို မင်းပဲ ဝန်ကြီးရာထူးမှာ တင်ထားတာပဲ၊ မင်းရဲ့ သမန်တော်တွေကြားထဲမှာတောင် သူ့နာမည်ကျော်ကြားသွားပြီ။ တကယ်တန်ဖိုးရှိတဲ့ လူကောင်းတစ်ယောက်ကို ရဖို့က အလွန်ခက်ခဲတယ်။ ဒီ “မြေခွေး” က မင်းအကျိုးကိုလိုလားတဲ့ မိတ်ဆွေသုဟෘဒ်ပဲ၊ ဒါကြောင့် သူ့ကို ကာကွယ်ထောက်ပံ့ထား»။
