गदायुद्धप्रतिज्ञा — The Vow and Terms of the Mace Duel
शूरमानी न शूरस्त्वं मृषा वदसि भारत । शूरो5हमिति दुर्बुद्धे सर्वलोकस्य शृण्वत:
śūramānī na śūras tvaṃ mṛṣā vadasi bhārata | śūro 'ham iti durbuddhe sarvalokasya śṛṇvataḥ ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– «သင်သည် မိမိကိုယ်ကို သူရဲကောင်းဟု ထင်မြင်သော်လည်း အမှန်တကယ် သူရဲကောင်းမဟုတ်။ အို ဘာရတ၊ အမြင်မှားသော ဉာဏ်ရှိသည့် မင်းကြီး၊ လူအများကြားနာနေစဉ် ‘ငါသည် သူရဲကောင်း’ ဟု ကြွေးကြော်ခြင်းသည် မုသာစကားပင်»
