अध्याय ९ — दुर्योधनस्य अन्त्यावस्था, विलापः, तथा सौप्तिक-प्रतिवृत्तम्
Duryodhana’s Final Condition, Lamentation, and the Night’s Report
संजय उवाच तं शयानं कुरुश्रेष्ठ ततो भरतसत्तम । अश्वत्थामा समालोक्य करुणं पर्यदेवयत्
sañjaya uvāca
taṁ śayānaṁ kuruśreṣṭha tato bharatasattama |
aśvatthāmā samālokya karuṇaṁ paryadevayat ||
သဉ္ဇယက ပြော၏— «ကူရုတို့အနက် အမြတ်ဆုံး၊ ဘာရတတို့အနက် အထွဋ်အမြတ်တော်မူသောအရှင်— ထို့နောက် ကူရုဝంశ၏ အလှဆင်တော်မူသော ဒုရ്യೋಧနကို စစ်မြေပြင်၏ အိပ်ရာပေါ်၌ လဲလျောင်းနေသည်ကို မြင်သော် အရှွတ္ထာမာက ကြည့်ရှု၍ ကရုဏာအလွန်ဖြင့် ငိုကြွေးလျက် ဝမ်းနည်းပူဆွေးစတင်လေ၏»။
