अध्याय १ — न्यग्रोधवनोपवेशनम् तथा द्रौणिनिश्चयः
Night at the Banyan and Drauṇi’s Resolve
ते मुहूर्तात् ततो गत्वा श्रान्तवाहा: पिपासिता:
te muhūrtāt tato gatvā śrāntavāhāḥ pipāsitāḥ
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– ထိုနေရာမှ အနည်းငယ်အကွာသို့ ရွှေ့သွားပြီးနောက်၊ ဒေါသနှင့် အရှက်အနာတရ (ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာထိခိုက်မှု) ကြောင့် လွှမ်းမိုးခံရသော မဟာဓနုဓာရ စစ်သူရဲကောင်းများသည် ရေငတ်ဒဏ်ကို ခံစားရ၍ သူတို့၏ စီးနင်းတိရစ္ဆာန်များလည်း ပင်ပန်းနွမ်းနယ်သွားကြသည်။ ထိုအခြေအနေသည် မခံနိုင်လောက်အောင် ဖြစ်လာ၏။ ဘုရင် ဒုရ္ယောဓန သေဆုံးသွားခြင်းကြောင့် အလွန်ဝမ်းနည်းကြကာ မုဟူရတတစ်ခါလောက် ထိုနေရာတွင် တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာ ရပ်နေကြပြီး၊ ဝမ်းနည်းမှုနှင့် မကျေနပ်ဒေါသတို့ဖြင့် ပြည့်နှက်နေကြသည်။
