हा पाण्डो हा महाराज क्वासि किं समुपेक्षसे । पुत्रान्‌ विवास्यत: साधूनरिभिर्यूतनिर्जितान्‌

Transliteration

hā pāṇḍo hā mahārāja kvāsi kiṁ samupekṣase | putrān vivāsyataḥ sādhūn aribhir yūtanirjitān ||

Translation

«အို ပाण्डုရေ! အို မဟာဘုရင်—ဘယ်မှာရှိသနည်း။ အဘယ်ကြောင့် မျက်နှာလွှဲနေသနည်း။ သင်၏ မြတ်သောသားတို့ကို ရန်သူတို့က လောင်းကစားပွဲ၌ အနိုင်ယူကာ တောပြည်နှင်ထုတ်နေပြီ; သူတို့၏ ဒုက္ခကို အဘယ်ကြောင့် လျစ်လျူရှုနေသနည်း?»
