इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत कर्णपर्वमें संजयवाक्यविषयक सातवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
saṃcintya nipuṇaṃ buddhyā dhṛtarāṣṭro janeśvaraḥ | nedam astīti saṃcintya karṇasya samare vadham ||
ဝိုင်ရှမ္ပာယနက ပြော၏— ထက်မြက်သော ဉာဏ်ဖြင့် စဉ်းစားသုံးသပ်ပြီးနောက် လူတို့၏ အရှင် မင်းကြီး ဓြတရာഷ്ടရသည် စစ်မြေပြင်၌ ကර්ဏ သေဆုံးခြင်းကို တွေးကာ «ဤသည် မဖြစ်နိုင်၊ မရှိနိုင်» ဟု ထင်မြင်၏။ သို့သော် သတင်းကို ချိန်တွယ်စဉ် “မတွေးနိုင်သော” အမှုသည် တကယ် ဖြစ်ပေါ်ခဲ့ခြင်းက ကောရဝတပ်ကို မကယ်နိုင်တော့ကြောင်း အမှတ်အသားတစ်ရပ်အဖြစ် သူ့ကို ထိခိုက်စေ၏။ ကർဏ ကို သတ်နိုင်လျှင် အခြားသူတို့၏ ပျက်စီးခြင်းလည်း ယခုမှစ၍ ဖြစ်နိုင်ပြီ။ ထိုသဘောပေါက်မှုနှင့်အတူ ဝမ်းနည်းခြင်းမီးသည် အတွင်း၌ လောင်ကျွမ်းလာ၍ ကိုယ်အင်္ဂါများ ပျော့ခွေသွားကာ ငိုကြွေးလျက် ကျရောက်သွား၏။
