वैशम्पायन उवाच श्रुत्वा कर्णस्य निधनमश्रद्धेयमिवाद्भधुतम् । भूतसम्मोहनं भीम॑ मेरो: संसर्पणं यथा
vaiśampāyana uvāca | śrutvā karṇasya nidhanam aśraddheyam ivādbhutam | bhūta-sammohanaṁ bhīmaṁ meroḥ saṁsarpaṇaṁ yathā ||
ဝৈရှမ္ပာယနက ပြောသည်– အရှင်မင်းကြီး၊ ကර්ဏ၏ သေဆုံးမှုကို ကြားသော် အံ့ဩဖွယ်ကောင်း၍ မယုံနိုင်သကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်၏။ ထိုကြောက်မက်ဖွယ် အဖြစ်အပျက်သည် မေရုတောင်ကြီးက မိမိနေရာမှ ရွှေ့ကာ အခြားသို့ ရွေ့သွားသကဲ့သို့ သတ္တဝါအပေါင်းတို့ကို မောဟဝေဝါးစေ၏။
