त्रिभागश्नावशिष्टोडयं दिवसस्य जनार्दन । नच मां धार्तराष्ट्रेषु कच्चिद्‌ युध्यति संयुगे

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

tribhāgaś cāvaśiṣṭo 'yaṃ divasasya janārdana |

na ca māṃ dhārtarāṣṭreṣu kaścid yudhyati saṃyuge ||

Translation

သဉ္ဇယက ပြော၏— «အို ဇနာရဒနာ၊ ယနေ့နေ့၏ အပိုင်းသုံးပိုင်းသာ ကျန်တော့သည်။ သို့ရာတွင် ဓෘတရာရှ္ဋ္ရ၏ သားများအနက် မည်သူမျှ စစ်မြေပြင်၌ ငါနှင့် မျက်နှာချင်းဆိုင် တိုက်ခိုက်မလာကြ။ ဤကဲ့သို့ တိုက်ပွဲကို ရှောင်ကြဉ်ခြင်းသည် ဆုံးဖြတ်ရမည့် အချိန်၌ စစ်သူရဲသတ္တိနှင့် က္ଷတ္တရိယ၏ တာဝန်စိတ်ဓာတ် ပျက်ယွင်းသွားကြောင်းကို ပြသသည်—တရားသော စစ်ပွဲ၌ နောက်ဆုတ်မဟုတ်ဘဲ ရပ်တည်တိုက်ခိုက်ရမည်»
