भीष्मपातने कर्णविलापः | Karṇa’s Lament upon Seeing Bhīṣma Fallen
मोहन सर्वसैन्यस्य युधि भीष्मस्य पातनम् । ककुदं सर्वसैन्यानां लक्ष्म सर्वधनुष्मताम्
mohana sarvasainyasya yudhi bhīṣmasya pātanam | kakudaṃ sarvasainyānāṃ lakṣma sarvadhanuṣmatām
သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်။ စစ်မြေပြင်၌ ဘီရှ္မ၏ ကျဆုံးခြင်း—တပ်တော်တစ်ခုလုံး၏ စိတ်ကို ဆွဲဆောင်၍ စည်းလုံးစေသော အားတော်—သည် တပ်၏ ခေါင်းမောက်တံဆိပ် ပြိုကျသကဲ့သို့၊ မြားပစ်သူတို့၏ ထင်ရှားသော ဂုဏ်ရောင် ပျောက်ကွယ်သကဲ့သို့ ဖြစ်သည်။ ထိုကျဆုံးမှုသည် စစ်ရေးအလှည့်အပြောင်းသာမက စစ်၏ အစီအစဉ်အတွင်း သီလနှင့် စိတ်ဓာတ်ပိုင်းဆိုင်ရာ ပေါက်ကွဲကွာဟမှုကိုလည်း အမှတ်အသားပြုသည်။
