एष हास्य जये कालो निर्दिष्टो विश्वयोनिना । इसी बीचमें भीष्मने अपने हितसे सम्बन्ध रखनेवाली एक दिव्य एवं गम्भीर आकाशवाणी सुनी--“महाबाहु भीष्म! शीघ्र प्रयत्न करो। इस श्वेतपर विजय पानेके लिये ब्रह्माजीने यही समय निश्चित किया है” || ९६-९७ हू ।।

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | eṣa hāsya jaye kālo nirdiṣṭo viśvayoninā | etac chrutvā tu vacanaṁ devadūtena bhāṣitam |

Translation

သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်—“သူ၏အောင်ပွဲအတွက် ဤအခိုက်အတန့်ကို ကမ္ဘာလောက၏ မူလအရင်းအမြစ် (ဗြဟ္မာ) က သတ်မှတ်ထားသည်။” ဒေဝတမန်က ပြောသော ထိုစကားကို ကြားသော် ဘီရှ္မသည် ကောင်းကင်သံ၏ လေးနက်သော အဓိပ္ပါယ်ကို ခံယူသိမြင်၏။ ဆုံးဖြတ်ချက်ချ၍ အားထုတ်ရမည့် အချိန်ကို သတ်မှတ်ပြီးသားဖြစ်ရာ နောက်ကျခြင်းသည် ကံကြမ္မာ၏ အခွင့်အရေးရှေ့တွင် တာဝန်ပျက်ကွက်ခြင်းပင် ဖြစ်လေသည်။
