भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

दुःखानि वनवासे वा किं नु मे सुकृतं भवेत्‌ । 'प्रभो! अवध्य महापुरुषोंका वध करके नरकसे भी बढ़कर निन्दनीय राज्य प्राप्त करूँ अथवा वनवासमें रहकर कष्ट भोगूँ--इन दोनोंमें कौन मेरे लिये पुण्य-दायक होगा? ।।

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | codayāśvān yato bhīṣmaḥ kariṣye vacanaṃ tava ||

Translation

သဉ္ဇယက ပြောသည်– «မသတ်သင့်သော မဟာပုရుషတို့ကို သတ်၍ နရကထက်ပင် အရှက်ရဖွယ် နိုင်ငံတော်ကို ရယူမလား၊ သို့မဟုတ် တောဝင်နေထိုင်ကာ ဒုက္ခခံမလား—ဤနှစ်ခုအနက် မည်သည်က ငါ့အတွက် ကုသိုလ်ဖြစ်မည်နည်း»။ «ဘီရှ္မရှိရာသို့ မြင်းများကို မောင်းနှင်လော့; သင်၏အမိန့်အတိုင်း ငါ ပြုမည်»။
