ते त॑ दृष्टवातिर्थि प्राप्तं प्रहष्टमनसो 5भन् । तेडभिवाद्य सुखप्रश्न॑ पृष्टया तमतिर्थिं तदा
te taṁ dṛṣṭvā atithiṁ prāptaṁ prahṛṣṭa-manaso 'bhavan | te 'bhivādya sukha-praśnaṁ pṛṣṭvā tam atithiṁ tadā ||
ဧည့်သည်ရောက်လာသည်ကို မြင်သော် သူတို့သည် စိတ်အတွင်းမှ အလွန်ဝမ်းမြောက်ကြသည်။ ထိုဧည့်သည်ကို လေးစားစွာ ကြိုဆိုကန်တော့၍ ကျန်းမာချမ်းသာမှုကို မေးမြန်းကာ ဧည့်ဝတ်ဓမ္မအတိုင်း လက်ခံကြသည်—မိမိတို့၏ အစာနှင့် အဆင်ပြေမှုထက် ဓမ္မကို အရင်ထား၍ ဖြစ်သည်။
