जगदग्निरुवाच नैतस्थेह यथास्माकं भक्तमिन्धनमेव च । संचिन्त्यं वार्षिक चित्ते तेन पीवाउछुना सह
Jamadagnir uvāca: na etat iha yathā asmākam bhaktam indhanam eva ca | sañcintyam vārṣikam citte tena pīvā ucchunā saha ||
ဇမဒဂ္နိက ပြောသည်– «ငါတို့ကဲ့သို့ မဟုတ်—တစ်နှစ်ပတ်လုံး စိတ်ထဲတွင် အစားအစာနှင့် မီးဖိုသစ်တောင် စိုးရိမ်တွက်ချက်နေရခြင်း မရှိ။ ထိုကဲ့သို့ တစ်နှစ်လုံးပူပန်မှု မရှိသောကြောင့် သူသည် ခွေးနှင့်အတူပင် ဝဝလုံးလုံး ဖြစ်လာသည်»။
विश्वामित्र उवाच
Freedom from constant anxiety over provisions (food and fuel) is presented as a mark of ease and contentment; the verse contrasts the burden of continual planning with a life that is untroubled by such worries.
Jamadagni comments that, unlike their own situation where they must think year-round about securing food and firewood, the person being referred to has no such concern; as a result, he has become well-fed—‘plump’—even in the company of a dog.
