Puṣkara-Śapatha Itihāsa (Agastya–Indra Dispute at the Tīrthas) | पुष्कर-शपथ-आख्यानम्
विश्वामित्र उवाच काम कामयमानस्य यदा काम: समृध्यते । अथैनमपर: कामस्तृष्णाविध्यति बाणवत्
Viśvāmitra uvāca: kāmaṁ kāmayamānasya yadā kāmaḥ samṛdhyate | athainam aparaḥ kāmas tṛṣṇā-vidhyati bāṇavat ||
ဝိශ්ဝာမိတ္တရက ဆို၏—ပျော်ရွှင်မှုတို့ကို လိုလားတောင့်တသူတစ်ဦး၏ ဆန္ဒတစ်ခု ပြည့်စုံသွားသောအခါ ထိုနေရာ၌ အခြားဆန္ဒအသစ်တစ်ခု ထပ်မံပေါ်ပေါက်လာသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် တဏ္ဟာသည် မြားကဲ့သို့ စိတ်ကို ထပ်ခါထပ်ခါ ထိုးနှက်လျက်ရှိပြီး—အလိုလိုက်ခြင်းသည် လိုအင်ကို မဆုံးစေဘဲ ပိုမိုတိုးပွားစေကြောင်း ပြသသည်။
