इतो दत्तेन जीवन्ति देवता: पितरस्तथा । तस्माद् दानानि देयानि ब्राह्मणेभ्यो विजानता,इस लोकमें ब्राह्मणको दान देनेसे देवता और पितर तृप्त होते हैं; इसलिये विद्वान् पुरुष ब्राह्मणको अवश्य दान दे
ito dattena jīvanti devatāḥ pitaras tathā | tasmād dānāni deyāni brāhmaṇebhyo vijānatā ||
ဘီṣ္မက မိန့်တော်မူသည်—«ဤလောက၌ ပေးလှူသမျှကြောင့် နတ်တို့နှင့် ဘိုးဘွားပိတရတို့လည်း ထောက်ပံ့ခံရ၍ ကျေနပ်ကြသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် ဤအချက်ကို သိမြင်သော ပညာရှိသည် လှူဒါန်းမှုကို မဖြစ်မနေ ပြုရမည်—အထူးသဖြင့် ဗြာဟ္မဏတို့အား—ဤသည်မှာ လောကဓမ္မနှင့် ဘိုးဘွားအစဉ်အလာကို ထောက်တည်ပေးသော တရားသော အထောက်အပံ့ဖြစ်ကြောင်း သိလျက်»။
