Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
धर्मज्ञ पितामह! यह सब मैं यथावत् रूपसे जानना चाहता हूँ। इसके लिये मेरे मनमें बड़ी उत्कण्ठा है ।।
bhīṣma uvāca | yo vrataṃ vai yathoddiṣṭaṃ tathā sampratipadyate | akhaṇḍaṃ samyag ārabhya tasya lokāḥ sanātanāḥ ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «ယုဓိဋ္ဌိရ၊ သာသနာကျမ်းညွှန်သကဲ့သို့ အတိအကျ သတ်မှတ်ထားသော ဝရတ (သစ္စာကတိ/အကျင့်သီလ) ကို မှန်ကန်စွာ စတင်၍ မပြတ်မတောက် ထိန်းသိမ်းနိုင်သူသည် နိစ္စတည်သော လောကများကို ရောက်ရှိ၏။ ဤသင်ခန်းစာသည် ဓမ္မကို ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းမှာ ရည်ရွယ်ချက်တစ်ခုတည်းမဟုတ်ဘဲ ကျမ်းစည်းကမ်းနှင့်အညီ သစ္စာရှိစွာ မပြတ်တောက် အကျင့်ထုံးတည်မြဲစွာ လိုက်နာခြင်းဖြင့် ဖြစ်ကြောင်းကို ဖော်ပြသည်»။
