Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
स्वधीतस्यापि च फल दृश्यतेअमुत्र चेह च । इहलोके<थवा नित्यं ब्रह्मलोके च मोदते,वेदोंके स्वाध्यायका फल भी इहलोक और परलोकमें भी देखा जाता है। स्वाध्यायशील द्विज इहलोक और ब्रह्मलोकमें भी सदा आनन्द भोगता है
svadhītasyāpi ca phalaṃ dṛśyate ’mutra ceha ca | ihaloke ’thavā nityaṃ brahmaloke ca modate ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «ဝေဒကို ကိုယ်တိုင်လေ့လာသင်ယူ၍ နေ့စဉ်ရွတ်ဖတ်ခြင်း (svādhyāya) ၏ အကျိုးသည် ဤလောက၌လည်းကောင်း၊ နောက်လောက၌လည်းကောင်း မြင်တွေ့ရ၏။ နေ့စဉ်ရွတ်ဖတ်မှုကို အလေးထားသော ဒွိဇ (နှစ်ကြိမ်မွေး) သည် ဤလောက၌ဖြစ်စေ၊ ဘြဟ္မလောက၌ဖြစ်စေ အမြဲပျော်ရွှင်မြူးတူးနေ၏»။
