देवदत्तां पतिर्भा्या वेत्ति धर्मस्य शासनात् । स दैवीं मानुषी वाचमनृतां पर्युदस्यति
devadattāṁ patir bhāryāṁ vetti dharmasya śāsanāt | sa daivīṁ mānuṣīṁ vācam anṛtāṁ paryudasyati ||
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «ဓမ္မ၏ အမိန့်အတိုင်း လိုက်နာ၍ ခင်ပွန်းသည် ဥပဒေအရ မိမိထံသို့ ရောက်လာသော မိန်းမကို တရားဝင် ဇနီးအဖြစ် အသိအမှတ်ပြုသည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် ကံကြမ္မာက ပေးအပ်သကဲ့သို့ လက်ခံယူပြီး ထိုသို့သော အိမ်ထောင်ရေးကို မသင့်တော်ဟု ဆိုသော လူတို့၏ စကားများကို မမှန်ကန်သော စကားဟု ပယ်ချသည်»။
