Devaśarmā–Vipula Dialogue on Ahorātra–Ṛtu as Moral Witnesses (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय ४३)
यथा रक्षा कृता पूर्व विपुलेन गुरुस्त्रिया: । पुरुषसिंह! पूर्वकालमें मैंने यह सुना था कि प्राचीनकालमें महात्मा विपुलने अपनी गुरुपत्नीकी रक्षा की थी। कैसे की? यह मैं तुम्हें बता रहा हूँ
yathā rakṣā kṛtā pūrvaṁ vipulena gurustrīyāḥ | puruṣasiṁha! pūrvakāle me śrutaṁ yat prācīnakāle mahātmā vipulena svagurupatnyā rakṣā kṛtā | kathaṁ kṛtā? tad ahaṁ te vakṣyāmi |
ဘီရှ္မက ပြောသည်– «ယောက်ျားသတ္တိရှင်ရေ၊ ရှေးကာလကတည်းက ငါကြားဖူးသည်မှာ၊ အတိတ်ကာလတွင် မဟာသတ္တိရှိသော ဝိပုလသည် မိမိဆရာ၏ ဇနီးကို ကာကွယ်စောင့်ရှောက်ခဲ့သည်ဟု ဆို၏။ မည်သို့ ကာကွယ်ခဲ့သနည်း—ယခု ငါသည် သင့်အား ပြောပြမည်»
