Pūjya-namaskārya-prakaraṇa
On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation
दुरावापमवाप्यैतन्नानुतिष्ठन्ति मानवा: । पहले तो ब्राह्मणत्वका प्राप्त होना ही कठिन है। यदि वह प्राप्त हो जाय तो उसका पालन करना और भी कठिन हो जाता है; किंतु बहुत-से मनुष्य इस दुर्लभ वस्तुको पाकर भी तदनुकूल आचरण नहीं करते हैं
durāvāpam avāpya etan nānutiṣṭhanti mānavāḥ |
မတင်္ဂက ဆိုသည်— «ဤခက်ခဲစွာ ရနိုင်သော အခြေအနေကို ရရှိပြီးနောက်တောင် လူတို့သည် ထိုအခြေအနေနှင့် ကိုက်ညီအောင် မနေထိုင်ကြ။ ဗြာဟ္မဏဖြစ်လာခြင်းကပင် ခက်ခဲ၏။ ရရှိပြီးလျှင် ထိုအဆင့်နှင့် သင့်တော်သော အကျင့်အကြံနှင့် စည်းကမ်းကို ထိန်းသိမ်းခြင်းက ပို၍ခက်ခဲသည်။ သို့သော် လူအများသည် ဤရှားပါးသော အဆင့်ကို ရပြီးနောက်တောင် လိုက်နာသင့်သော ဓမ္မနှင့် စည်းကမ်းကို မကျင့်သုံးကြ။»
