स्वदेशे परदेशे वाप्यतिथिं नोपवासयेत् । कर्म वै सफल कृत्वा गुरूणां प्रतिपादयेत्
Bhīṣma uvāca | svadeśe paradeśe vāpy atithiṁ nopavāsayet | karma vai saphalaṁ kṛtvā gurūṇāṁ pratipādayet ||
ဘီရှ္မက မိန့်ကြားသည်—ကိုယ့်ပြည်တွင်ဖြစ်စေ တိုင်းတပါးတွင်ဖြစ်စေ ဧည့်သည်ကို ဆာလောင်နေစေမထားရ။ ထို့ပြင် အကြီးအကဲများ သို့မဟုတ် ဆရာများက အမိန့်ပေးထားသော အလုပ်ကို အောင်မြင်စွာ ပြီးစီးအောင် လုပ်ပြီးနောက် သူတို့ထံ ပြန်လည်တင်ပြရမည်။
