द्वारवत्यां समासीन पुरा मां कुरुनन्दन । प्रद्युम्न: परिपप्रच्छ ब्राह्म॒णैः परिकोपित:
Dvāravatyāṃ samāsīnaḥ purā māṃ Kurunandana | Pradyumnaḥ paripapraccha brāhmaṇaiḥ parikopitaḥ ||
ဝါယုက ပြောသည်— “အို ကုရုတို့၏ ဝမ်းမြောက်ရာ၊ ရှေးကာလတစ်ခါ၊ ငါသည် ဒွာရဝတီမြို့၌ နေထိုင်စဉ်၊ ဗြာဟ္မဏအချို့က စိတ်ထိခိုက်စေသဖြင့် ဒေါသထွက်နေသော ငါ့သား ပရဒျုမ္နသည် ငါ့ထံသို့ လာ၍ မေးမြန်းခဲ့၏။”
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse sets up an ethical lesson by foregrounding a moment of provoked anger involving brāhmaṇas; it implies the importance of restraint, proper conduct toward revered persons, and seeking guidance through respectful inquiry rather than acting from wrath.
Vāyu begins a past episode: while in Dvāravatī, Pradyumna—angered after being provoked by brāhmaṇas—approaches Vāyu and asks him a question, introducing the instruction that follows.
