Tapas-śreṣṭhatā: Anāśana as the Highest Austerity
Bhagīratha–Brahmā Saṃvāda
ईषादन्तान् महाकायान् काञ्चनस्रग्विभूषितान् । पद्मिनो वै सहस््राणि प्रादां दश च सप्त च
īṣādantān mahākāyān kāñcanasragvibhūṣitān | padmino vai sahasrāṇi prādāṁ daśa ca sapta ca ||
ဘဂီရထက ပြောသည်– «လယ်ထွန်တံတားကဲ့သို့ သွားတံကြီးများရှိ၍ ကိုယ်ခန္ဓာကြီးမားကာ ရွှေမော်လီများဖြင့် အလှဆင်ထားသော ပဒ္မအမှတ်ပါ ဆင်များကို ထောင်ပေါင်းများစွာ လှူဒါန်းခဲ့သည်—စုစုပေါင်း တစ်သောင်းခုနစ်ထောင် ဖြစ်သည်»။
