FAQs

This verse marks Vishnu’s transition into teaching Sūryārcana (Sun worship) as an established, traditional instruction (previously taught to Bhṛgu), indicating it as a dharmic, authoritative practice within the Purana’s ritual framework.

By referencing the loss of Vyāna-vāyu and the functions of prāṇa, it alludes to the breakdown of life-supporting forces at death, after which the text pivots to prescribed worship (Sūryārcana) as a sustaining dharmic practice for the living.

Maintain daily dharmic discipline through simple Sun-oriented practices (e.g., respectful morning prayer/offerings), using the reminder that prāṇa and bodily powers are impermanent and should be guided by dharma.
