श्रीराजोवाच देवासुरनृणां सर्गो नागानां मृगपक्षिणाम् । सामासिकस्त्वया प्रोक्तो यस्तु स्वायम्भुवेऽन्तरे ॥ १ ॥ तस्यैव व्यासमिच्छामि ज्ञातुं ते भगवन् यथा । अनुसर्गं यया शक्त्या ससर्ज भगवान् पर: ॥ २ ॥
śrī-rājovāca devāsura-nṛṇāṁ sargo nāgānāṁ mṛga-pakṣiṇām sāmāsikas tvayā prokto yas tu svāyambhuve ’ntare
သီရိရာဇာက ပြောသည်—စွာယံဘူဝ မနု၏ ကာလတွင် ဒေဝ၊ အသူရ၊ လူသား၊ နာဂ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်နှင့် ငှက်တို့၏ စೃಷ್ಟိကို သင် အကျဉ်းချုပ် ပြောခဲ့သည်။ ယခုမူ၊ အရှင်ဘဂဝန်၊ ထိုအကြောင်းကို အသေးစိတ် သိလိုသည်; ထို့ပြင် အမြင့်ဆုံး ဘဂဝန်သည် မည်သည့် အင်အားဖြင့် အနုစೃષ્ટိ (ဒုတိယ စೃಷ್ಟိ) ကို ဖန်ဆင်းခဲ့သနည်းကိုလည်း သိလိုသည်။
