Nābhāga’s Inheritance, Śiva’s Verdict, and the Rise of Ambarīṣa—Prelude to Durvāsā’s Offense
yat te pitāvadad dharmaṁ tvaṁ ca satyaṁ prabhāṣase dadāmi te mantra-dṛśo jñānaṁ brahma sanātanam
This verse links satya and adherence to dharma with eligibility for higher spiritual realization, indicating that truthful speech and righteous conduct qualify one to receive eternal Brahman-knowledge.
Seeing Ambarīṣa’s unwavering truthfulness and fidelity to the dharma taught by his father, Durvāsā acknowledges his purity and offers the blessing of sanātana brahma-jñāna.
Practice truthful speech, keep principled commitments, and align daily actions with dharma; such integrity purifies consciousness and makes spiritual study and mantra-practice fruitful.
