The word vayam here refers to the able-bodied male members of the Yadu dynasty.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa arranged for the vulnerable members to be moved to safety while He and the able-bodied Yādavas proceeded toward Prabhāsa as part of the unfolding divine plan surrounding the end of the Yadu dynasty.
Prabhāsa is the sacred tīrtha where major events leading to the disappearance of the Yadu dynasty occur and where Kṛṣṇa’s concluding pastimes on earth unfold.
It highlights responsible leadership—protecting dependents first, acting with foresight, and recognizing that life’s changes unfold under higher order, to be met with steadiness and devotion.
