प्राचीनबर्हिरुवाच भगवंस्ते वचोऽस्माभिर्न सम्यगवगम्यते । कवयस्तद्विजानन्ति न वयं कर्ममोहिता: ॥ १ ॥

Transliteration

prācīnabarhir uvāca bhagavaṁs te vaco ’smābhir na samyag avagamyate kavayas tad vijānanti na vayaṁ karma-mohitāḥ

Translation

ဘုရင် ပရာချီနဗာရဟိ က ပြောသည်— အို ဘဂဝန်၊ သင်ဟောကြားသော ပုရဉ္ဇန အလင်္ကာရပုံပြင်၏ အဓိပ္ပါယ်ကို ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ မပြည့်စုံစွာ နားမလည်နိုင်ပါ။ ဝိညာဉ်ပညာ၌ ပြည့်စုံသော ပညာရှိများသာ သိနိုင်ကြပြီး၊ ကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကမ္မမောဟ၌ ချုပ်နှောင်နေသဖြင့် ထိုရည်ရွယ်ချက်ကို သိမြင်ရန် ခက်ခဲပါသည်။
