Dalam pertarungan satu lawan satu, Durodara yang perkasa, dengan pandangan terpaku pada pelbagai senjata, mara ke hadapan. Andhaka, putera Hiraṇyākṣa, berdiri di medan perang di atas kereta yang dipasangkan seribu ekor kuda, dilengkapi lapan gajah yang sedang mengamuk, bersinar garang; lalu ia maju menyongsong Śatakratu (Indra), tuan para dewa.

The verse frames warfare as a field where dharma is tested through courage and resolve—combatants ‘stake life itself’ (prāṇa-paṇa). It also implies that divine presence (here, Śiva’s awe-inspiring roar) can function as a cosmic signal that the conflict has reached a decisive, fate-bearing phase.
