Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 2

तं दृष्ट्वा च महादेवि रूपवाञ्जायते नरः । गंधर्वैः स्थापितं लिंगं स्नात्वा संपूजयेत्सकृत् । सर्वान्कामानवाप्नोति रक्तकण्ठश्च जायते

taṃ dṛṣṭvā ca mahādevi rūpavāñjāyate naraḥ | gaṃdharvaiḥ sthāpitaṃ liṃgaṃ snātvā saṃpūjayetsakṛt | sarvānkāmānavāpnoti raktakaṇṭhaśca jāyate

Wahai Mahādevī, dengan melihatnya sahaja, seseorang menjadi dikurniai keelokan rupa. Setelah mandi suci dan memuja walau sekali liṅga yang didirikan oleh para Gandharva, dia memperoleh segala hajat—dan menjadi “berleher merah” (raktakaṇṭha).
