Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 6

यावच्छंभुर्दूरतो नाभिगच्छेत्तावद्गत्वा शंकरं क्षामयस्व । नो चेतन्वि क्षामयेथाः शिवं त्वं दुःखं पश्चात्ते भविष्यत्यवश्यम्

yāvacchaṃbhurdūrato nābhigacchettāvadgatvā śaṃkaraṃ kṣāmayasva | no cetanvi kṣāmayethāḥ śivaṃ tvaṃ duḥkhaṃ paścātte bhaviṣyatyavaśyam

Sebelum Śambhu datang dari jauh, pergilah segera dan mohon ampun kepada Śaṅkara. Jika tidak, wahai yang ramping—jika engkau gagal menenangkan Śiva—dukacita pasti akan menimpamu kemudian.
