Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 23

नैवान्नं नो जलं किंचिन्न भुक्तं तद्दिने तया । चिंतयंती पतिं चापि लुब्धकी त्वयन्निशाम्

Transliteration

naivānnaṃ no jalaṃ kiṃcinna bhuktaṃ taddine tayā | ciṃtayaṃtī patiṃ cāpi lubdhakī tvayanniśām

Translation

Pada hari itu, si pemburu wanita tidak menjamah apa-apa—tiada makanan, bahkan seteguk air pun tidak. Hanya memikirkan suaminya, dia menempuh malam dalam penantian yang resah.
