Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 15

तथा विष्णुर्हि भगवान्वेदवेद्यः सनातनः । यज्ञैरनेकैः संतुष्ट उपवासव्रतैस्तथा

tathā viṣṇurhi bhagavānvedavedyaḥ sanātanaḥ | yajñairanekaiḥ saṃtuṣṭa upavāsavrataistathā

Demikian juga, Tuhan Viṣṇu—Yang Kekal dan dikenali melalui Veda—berkenan dengan pelbagai yajña, serta dengan puasa dan amalan nazar (vrata).
