परिष्वज्य तु गाढेन गिरिजापि तुतोष वै । स्वोत्संगे च समारोप्य कुमारं सूर्यवर्चसम्
pariṣvajya tu gāḍhena girijāpi tutoṣa vai | svotsaṃge ca samāropya kumāraṃ sūryavarcasam
Sambil memeluknya erat, Girijā (Pārvatī) benar-benar berpuas hati. Lalu Baginda meletakkan Kumāra—bersinar laksana matahari—di pangkuannya sendiri dan bersukacita.
