एवं संयुध्यमानौ तौ जघ्नतुश्चेतरेतरम् । द्वंद्वयुद्धं सुतुमुलं तयोर्जातं महात्मनोः
evaṃ saṃyudhyamānau tau jaghnatuścetaretaram | dvaṃdvayuddhaṃ sutumulaṃ tayorjātaṃ mahātmanoḥ
Demikianlah kedua-duanya bertempur, saling memukul berulang-ulang; antara dua tokoh perkasa itu pun terjadilah duel yang amat dahsyat dan bergemuruh.
