तदोवाच महाबाहो गिरिजां प्रहसन्निव । स्वभावेनैव तत्सर्वं जंगमाजंगमं महत् । जातं त्वया मोहितं च त्रिगुणैः परिवेष्टितम्
tadovāca mahābāho girijāṃ prahasanniva | svabhāvenaiva tatsarvaṃ jaṃgamājaṃgamaṃ mahat | jātaṃ tvayā mohitaṃ ca triguṇaiḥ pariveṣṭitam
Ketika itu Tuhan yang berlengan perkasa menjawab Girijā seakan tersenyum: “Dengan tabiatmu sendiri, seluruh alam yang besar ini—yang bergerak dan yang tidak bergerak—telah lahir; dan ia juga terpesona, diselubungi oleh tiga guṇa.”
