Sūta narrating; instruction attributed to Śiva
Tirtha: Kedāra
Type: kshetra
Scene: Śiva’s teaching moment: devas/ascetics attentive; a symbolic fading of Madana (Kāma) as samādhi radiance rises—suggesting desire dissolving into stillness.
Samādhi and inner recollection subdue desire; unchecked kāma becomes the seed of krodha and suffering.
The Kedāra setting is implicit via Kedārakhaṇḍa, but the verse teaches universal dharma rather than extolling a single tīrtha.
No external ritual; it prescribes inner practice—samādhi and restraint of desire.
