यदाःकामं पुरस्कृत्य सर्वे देवाः सवासवाः । पदभ्रष्टाश्च दुःखेन व्याप्ता दैन्यं समाश्रिताः

Transliteration

yadāḥkāmaṃ puraskṛtya sarve devāḥ savāsavāḥ | padabhraṣṭāśca duḥkhena vyāptā dainyaṃ samāśritāḥ

Translation

Apabila semua dewa—bersama Indra—meletakkan Kāma (keinginan) di hadapan, mereka pun jatuh daripada kedudukan yang sepatutnya; diliputi dukacita, mereka menjadi sengsara dan tenggelam dalam kehinaan.
