Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Kedāra-kṣetra (Śaṅkara-ārādhana-sthāna)
Type: kshetra
Scene: Girijā, radiant with inner gladness, continues fierce tapas explicitly as worship of Śaṅkara, her face calm and devoted, the altar before her and the Himalaya around.
True worship is inner dedication—tapas offered with joy, aimed at pleasing the Lord rather than gaining worldly ends.
Kedāra-khaṇḍa frames the narrative within the sanctity of Kedāra and the Himalayan Śaiva landscape.
The ‘ritual’ is Śaṅkara-ārādhana through tapas—devotional austerity as a form of worship.
