मां च उद्दिश्य भो इंद्र तद्भोगादेव संक्षयः । प्रायश्चितं हि हत्याया न दृष्टं स्मृतिकारिभिः
māṃ ca uddiśya bho iṃdra tadbhogādeva saṃkṣayaḥ | prāyaścitaṃ hi hatyāyā na dṛṣṭaṃ smṛtikāribhiḥ
Wahai Indra, apabila engkau mengarahkan laku dan niatmu kepada-Ku, lenyapnya dosa itu hanya melalui mengalami sendiri buahnya. Sesungguhnya para penyusun Smṛti tidak menetapkan penebusan bagi dosa membunuh brāhmaṇa.
