मम लोकहितार्थाय लोहस्य च निशम्यताम् । अधीकृतो मया लोहो बह्वीस्तप्तां तपः समाः
mama lokahitārthāya lohasya ca niśamyatām | adhīkṛto mayā loho bahvīstaptāṃ tapaḥ samāḥ
Dengarlah pula, demi kesejahteraan segala dunia, kisah tentang Loha: Loha telah kuangkat setelah dia menanggung bertahun-tahun tapa (tapas) yang berat.
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta), narrating to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Lohāṇa (Loha-associated sthāna)
Type: kshetra
Scene: An ascetic figure ‘Loha’ performing long austerities in a forest near the sea; a divine commander (Skanda/guardian presence) confers authority, indicating appointment for world welfare.
Austerity (tapas) undertaken for dharma matures into responsibility and divine commission for the good of all.
The broader Dharmāraṇya sacred region remains the backdrop, though this verse focuses on the figure Loha.
Tapas (austerity) is praised as the qualifying discipline leading to sacred duty.
