nārada uvāca | kedārāddhimasaṃyuktaṃ yojanānāṃ śataṃ smṛtam | tadaṃte yojanaśataṃ vistṛtaṃ tatkalāpakam
Nārada berkata: “Dari Kedāra, disebut adanya bentangan yang dipenuhi salji sepanjang seratus yojana. Di hujungnya, terbentang Kalāpaka, meluas lagi seratus yojana.”
Nārada
Tirtha: Kalāpaka (beyond Kedāra)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Arjuna
Scene: A sweeping white expanse of snow stretching beyond Kedāra; tiny pilgrims traverse the vastness; in the far distance, a sheltered valley-city labeled Kalāpaka spreads wide, suggesting a hidden, protected realm.
The Purāṇa maps sacred space to inspire faith-filled endurance—holy lands are reached through perseverance.
Kedāra is the anchor tīrtha; Kalāpaka is presented as a further sacred expanse beyond the snowy route.
None here; the verse provides pilgrimage geography and distances (yojana measures).
