Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 46

प्राणायामा दश द्वौ च धारणैषा प्रकीर्त्यते । दशैता धारणाः स्थाप्य प्राप्नोत्यक्षरसाम्यताम्

prāṇāyāmā daśa dvau ca dhāraṇaiṣā prakīrtyate | daśaitā dhāraṇāḥ sthāpya prāpnotyakṣarasāmyatām

Dhāraṇā ini dikatakan terdiri daripada dua belas prāṇāyāma. Setelah menegakkan sepuluh dhāraṇā ini, seseorang mencapai kesetaraan dengan Yang Tidak Binasa (Akṣara).
