Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 38

तपसां च यदा प्राप्तिः सा शांतिरिति चोच्यते । सर्वेन्द्रियप्रसादश्च बुद्धेर्वै मरुतामपि

tapasāṃ ca yadā prāptiḥ sā śāṃtiriti cocyate | sarvendriyaprasādaśca buddhervai marutāmapi

Apabila pencapaian yang lahir daripada tapa (pertapaan) diperoleh, itulah juga dinamakan “kedamaian”. Maka terbit kejernihan dan kurnia pada segala indera, serta ketenangan pada budi—sesungguhnya juga melalui penguasaan angin hayat (vayu).
