Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (deduced from Māheśvarakhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Gautama-sthāpita Pārtha-liṅga (name not explicit; liṅga addressed to Pārtha)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Pārtha
Scene: Skanda (or the narrator) concluding a yogic teaching; sage Gautama installing a liṅga; devotees approaching for darśana and worship, aura of purification.
Yoga realization culminates in Śiva-bhakti expressed through establishing and honoring a sin-destroying liṅga.
The verse points to the sacred locale of the Gautama-established Liṅga, tied to Ahalyā-saras mentioned immediately after in the chapter.
Darśana (seeing) and arcana (worship) of the Gautama-established liṅga are said to destroy impurities (kalmaṣa).
