Skanda Purana — Mahesvara Khanda, Shloka 55
विप्राणां त्वं परो देवो विप्रसर्गोऽपि त्वन्मयः । नितरां पूतमेतन्नः स्थानं देव त्वयेक्षितम्
viprāṇāṃ tvaṃ paro devo viprasargo'pi tvanmayaḥ | nitarāṃ pūtametannaḥ sthānaṃ deva tvayekṣitam
Bagi para brāhmaṇa, Engkaulah dewa yang tertinggi, bahkan seluruh golongan brāhmaṇa pun diliputi oleh-Mu. Wahai Dewa, tempat kami ini menjadi amat suci kerana dipandang oleh-Mu.
